Time Travel movies #1: 12 Monkeys
12 Monkeys is quite an underrated time travel movies. It is Terry Gilliam’s one of the best movie. The movie starts with an outburst of a deadly virus that destroys almost all of humanity, forcing few left survivors to live underground. Few rumors said that it was spread by Army of12 Monkeys.
In the year 2035, James Cole, a prisoner is selected and trained and is sent back in time to find the original virus, in order to help scientists find a cure but in turn, he finds himself in an unchangeable time loop.
This movie deserves more and it also has a resonance with our current situation, but only if we had a time machine.

Time Travel movies #2: The Time Machine (1960)
Everything from the soundtracks to acting, fx, and plot was put in with the right amount to balance it all out, nothing too much nothing too less. This movie can make a great impression on anyone’s imagination of space, time, matter, and energy.
The movie starts with, a scientist who invents and tries to experiment with the time machine. However, as he travels further into time, he gets surprised after discovering some shocking aspects of society. This is one of the best time travel movie to be made.

Time Travel movies #3: Time Crimes (2007)
Time crimes is a terrific movie, Time Crimes is a time travel movie that was made with a low budget, few members, and very few settings, it combines sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, and action.
The movie begins with a guy named Hector who discovers a woman undressing in a forest near his property, he starts investigating and finds her to assaulted, and in turn of events, he is attacked by a man covered in bandages. For saving his own life he runs and takes shelter under a scientific facility where a scientist encourages him to hide in a time machine. Traveling back in time for just a few hours, he finds observing himself.

Time Travel movies #4: Back To Future (1985)
It’s the smash-hit blockbuster that started one of the most beloved franchises of all-time, 1985’s “Back to the Future” centers on the story of Marty McFly, a high school student from Hill Valley, CA who dreams of making a huge impression on the public with his music-playing abilities, especially with his girlfriend Jennifer.
One of Marty’s good friends Do Brown, a scientist, who invented the time machine. He started an experiment including Marty which went horribly wrong, Marty was sent in the year 1955 where he encounters his parents. After encountering his own mother, the existence of his life came into jeopardy. To maintain his existence he has to do anything possible to bring back his parents together.

Time Travel movies #5: The Girl who leapt through time (2006)
If we had to talk about time travel movies in the Anime world then this best out of all. It has a wonderful story which makes you crave for the next plot plus to top it off it has a very sweet Love story.
Makoto, A 17-year-old tomboy who hangs out with her two male classmates who play baseball in her free time. She goes backward and forward in time, uses her newly generated quirk to improve her grades, but as she keeps on using her quirk, she has no idea of how bad the consequences were going to be in near future.

Time Travel movies #6: Men in Black 3 (2012)
This movie is worth the watch. Great storyline, amazing acting, and great direction. It’s one of the best movies ever, with the right mix of every genre; comedy, action, heart-warming, drama, and a bit of romance.
Men In Black 3 story starts when a dangerous alien criminal escapes a tightly secured prison, it is up to agent J to bring back the prisoner, for that J goes to take help from K and discovers something quite perplexed. J travels back to the year 1969 where he meets younger agent K, who helps him in capturing the criminal.

Time Travel movies #7: Interstellar (2014)
Time & space, two of the most important terms that have made humanity ponder for thousands of years, about this limitless universe and how to find out the interstellar destinations like the Milkyway, planets, black holes, etc. Highly talented great filmmaker Christopher Nolan has shown his top-class directorial skills by this great Sci-fi thriller “ Interstellar”.
Movie Interstellar is a time travel movie about, a space mission where a team of astronauts has been assigned a project to find out a new home for the human race in vast infinite interstellar distances which also have been sewed with an emotional father-daughter relationship. From script to screenplay, cinematography, original score, editing, visual effects, performances, direction everything is outstanding.

Time Travel movies #8: Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
If you want to learn for the future, you must learn from the past. In this movie, the protagonist is dragged forcefully into the war between humans and aliens. Soon enough he discovers that he is stuck in a time loop. With the new battle experiences every time in the loop, he vows to defeat the aliens and save the planet while he’s at it.
Sci-fi movies are generally not known to be action-heavy, but this is one of the exceptions to that rule. With extraordinary action and an amazing plot, this movie will leave you on the edge of your seats.

Time Travel movies #9: X-men: Days of future past (2014)
If we had to choose the best movie from the X-Men series it would be X-Men: Days of future past. In 2023 robots called Sentinels are hunting down and killing all mutants and humans as well. Wolverine is sent back in time to 1973 to prevent it from happening with the help of a young Charles Xavier, who has to rely on a drug that helps him walk but makes him impotent to his telepathy powers and magneto a mutant that can control and manipulate all forms of metal.

Time travel movies #10 Predestination (2014)
Twisty and mind-bending, one viewing won’t be enough for this time-traveling head-scratcher. It not only has one plot but two one orbits around the barkeep, a temporal agent who is seeking to stop a terrorist, the other plot follows as the life of an auspicious orphan who isn’t quite like everybody else – are elaborately and intelligently woven together to not only build hostility but to explore incitive themes to spoiler-y to mention here.
To simply put in words this time travel movie is about a temporal agent, who is ordered, as last assignment, to travel back in time and prevent a bomb attack in New York, the year 1975, however, the task was not at all easy.

This movie is a potent metaphor, although misguided. The effect seems real enough. The only question you should have as you watch this is, will you tempt God or will you follow the writer.
This movie is a time-traveling movie where the protagonists, Evans gets serious headaches and causes him blackouts. While in an unconscious state he can travel back in time and can alter the past, in return it causes drastic changes in his present life.

Time Travel movies #14: Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
The first Contact embodied many of the important Star Trek hallmarks held dear by Trekkies. For this, it is considered the best feature film released by Paramount by so many Star Trek fans. As well as being an “origin tale” in the ST mythology it managed to hit home runs on the quality of the storytelling.
Star Trek: First Contact is a time travel movie where an antagonist the evil Brog who time travels back in time to stop the earth from making a contact with alien life. To stop this plan from being a success Captain Picard and his crew makes their move to put a halt to this plan.

Time Travel movies #15: Doctor Strange (2016)
This movie was sensational, It introduced so many new and wonderful characters to the MCU in many interesting and creative ways. I am truly grateful for Benedict Cumberbatch’s performance of doctor strange. This movie brings magic and a strong majestic character to the Avengers. The story seemed so realistic, the journey of a person from a doctor to a sorcerer is persuasively filled with amusing moments of humor.
This time travel movie is about a doctor, Stephen Strange, who is an excellent doctor but under unfortunate circumstances, he confronts a severe accident where he loses his ability to use his hands, for this reason, he goes and meets the great Ancient one to get healed and he becomes a powerful sorcerer.

Time Travel movies #16: Tenet (2020)
Tenet is a stimulating and mind-wavering movie to watch. This movie is about a secret agent who ventures on a risky, time-traveling mission to prevent the outset of World War III. The plot was a fresh take on a time-tried concept of addressing a futuristic “world war 3”, the technical aspects of the filming were deserving of a best in class award.
