2. Peshawar

Still About Section 377 is the second season, succeeding All About Section 377 which sent laughs all across at the same while focusing on a taboo issue. Season one received high acclaim from the critics and audience alike, only for it to return for a second season. Still About Section 377 explores the life of an urban gay couple who arrives at a village. The struggles they face in a community where LGBTQ being accepted is a far-fetched idea, and is always looked down upon. And in this given context they try to convince one of the partner’s family to understand their love for each other and to finally accept them.

Still About Section 377 presents Ankit Bhatia, Amit Khanna, Gunjan Malhotra, Gaurav Mishra, Gulshan Nain, Sima Pari, Mustafa Sheikh, and Yash Yogi in lead roles. The series is written and directed by Amit Khanna himself who plays Rohit in season 2.  Still About Section 377 is a comic drama, filled with the emotional sides of love in the modern world.

Season 2 as well went on to create a buzz with its high-minded portrayal of whether it be transgender or a gay couple, and the society’s prohibited outlook towards it. Still About Section 377 is a wonderful portrayal of love, crossing all boundaries of gender and society, and is a must-watch Ullu web series.

Director Shiva Varma Saptaraj Chakraborty builds his storyline on the base structure of artificial intelligence and social media and uses it to present an exhilarating horror Ullu web series.

26 January: 26 January is a suspense thriller Ullu web series that also explores the complicated threads of love and romance. The series casts Mrunal Jain and Madhurima Tuli in lead roles. Mrunal Jain plays an ATS officer Ved who is working on a secret mission. He crosses paths with Madhurima Tuli who plays Insiya. They get off on the wrong note, but soon their feud blossoms into love.

All seems to go well for Ved and Insiya, with their romance developing further and as Ved makes positive progress with his case. But soon his investigation stumbles upon a harsh reality, as he realizes that Insiya is a suspect in his case with possible connections to terrorists. Directed by Deepak Pandey, 26 January is an action-filled watch with its share of romantic allure to it. Spanning over a length of 4 episodes it is a quick watch and another Ullu web series that you should not miss.

5. Assi Nabbe Poore Sau

Assi Nabbe Poore Sau is an Indian crime drama thriller. It is based on the real-life incidents that took place across the country, where we witnessed the brutal torturing against kids before they were eventually slaughtered. The story is narrated across by a widowed mother who raises her son all alone. She is gratified when a gentleman walks into her life, and soon even gives his name to her fatherless son. But things take a ride when her son goes missing one day and the husband is caught in a web of police proceedings and court hearings. The series further develops and discloses the dark secrets behind the violent atrocious killings of youngsters.

Rakesh Bapat, Aastha Chaudhary, Vikram Misal, and Akshay Vir Singh from the main cast of this Ullu web series. Directed by Akshay Vir Singh himself, Assi Nabbe Poore Sau might be an intense watch for a certain audience, given the dark storyline and extreme portrayals. Nevertheless, it is a consuming watch with a story that needs to be told. Assi Nabbe Poore Sau was released in 2 parts, consisting of four episodes each. This is another Ullu web series that you should add to your watchlist.

Using his cunning ideas and sly thoughts he makes a name for himself and becomes the ‘Big Bull’ in a very short period of time. Directed by Deepak Pandey, The Bull of Dalal Street presents a twisted tale filled with drama and the surge for power.

Ashmit Patel, Kunal Verma, Priyal Gor, Aparna Sharma, and Naina Chhabra form the rest of the cast of this Ullu web series. Iqbal Khan received acclaim for his portrayal in the web series, and he possesses a certain nuance for his depiction of this complex dark character. The Bull of Dalal Street spans into 3 parts, overall consisting of 12 episodes giving time and space to explore the story exquisitely, and is another must-watch Ullu web series.

Halala is a controversial watch Ullu web series as it explores the tendentious strands of Triple Talaq and Nikah Halala. The series narrates the tale from the standpoint of Afza and Rahil played by Shafaq Naaz and Ravi Bhatia respectively. Afza and Rahil are in a happy marriage, but in a moment of rage, Rahil utters the word Talaq thrice, eventually divorcing his wife.

He attempts all out to save his marriage, but the only option in front of them is a Nikah Halala, wherein Afza will have to be married to someone else, here Zaid played by Eijaz Khan, do her duties as a wife to him and be divorced by Zaid, after which only can she get back together with Rahil.

Written and directed by Deepak Pandey, this Ullu web series is one holding themes to be contentious. Halala rates well on IMDb and depicts that it has been decently received by the audience. The series spans over 9 episodes and is another great Ullu web series watch for all drama and romance lovers.
